We're off to Malvern this weekend for Land Rover Show & 4x4 Spares Weekend. We'll also be bringing our trusty Defender. Probably.
See, we had a great weekend up in Edinburgh for the Scottish Land Rover Show 2018, and our show vehicle obviously came along with us - one year on from it's very first trip post-refurb.
Unfortunately, it didn't come back with us! An immobiliser issue meant no ignition, no starter and no fuel pump. Although we got it started, it wasn't really ready to run the nearly 300 miles home.
However, the good news is she's ready to make the trip down to Malvern. The dash isn't exactly back together yet, but we'll be ready by showtime, and have a number of changes planned to improve things for Kelmarsh and Peterborough.
This weekend then, we'll be at the Three Counties Showground, Malvern, Worcestershire, WR13 6NW. This is a two day Land Rover show inc club and heritage vehicle displays both indoors in the Severn Hall and outdoors. We'll be in the aforementioned Severn Hall up the ramp next to the arena.
This is a full weekend show, so a 9am start on both Saturday and Sunday. It's this weekend - 2nd and 3rd of June 2018.
Malvern was good to us last year and we're really looking forward to returning!
As usual further details (and photos of our broken Defender) over on instagram and facebook.
Back to where it all began! Sort of... We actually started doing shows in Stoneleigh in 2016 - but things really kicked on last year in Edinburgh, when we took our Defender show vehicle on a test drive. We put a video together of the story - see below, or visit our news blog for a recap on what the GOR Project involved.
Anyway.. on to Edinburgh 2018, and we're back. It's a tough gig this, but we wouldn't miss it for the world - 8 hour round trip, but the chance to engage with our Scottish customers and bring the show specials up north!
We'll be in the same place as last year - take a right just inside the show site. May 26th - May 27th 2018 - a full weekend again this one, and double the chance to grab a bargain.
The Scottish Land Rover Show 2018 will be the greatest global gathering of all things green oval Scotland has ever seen. Don’t miss out bring the family too as there’s plenty for all ages to see and do.
Advance day tickets cost just £12 per adult and children aged 5-15 are just £5 or make a weekend of it and camp over from just £70 for 2 adults and two children or three adults. Car Parking is £5 per car. Ticket booking fees will apply.
Come see us this weekend at the The Royal Highland Showground, Ingilston, Edinburgh
Later this month we'll be up in Edinburgh for the Scottish Land Rover Show. The Edinburgh showground means a return visit to the show that really kickstarted our Defender rebuild project. We'll have more details shortly.
First though, we're off to the Classic Land Rover Show at The British Motor Museum at Gaydon, Warwickshire. We'll be exhibiting our show vehicle and our show specials will be added to with some brand new lines. You'll find the museum just off the M40 at Junction 12. The postcode is CV35 0BJ, but the museum is well signposted locally too.
No news yet on where we're located, but as ever we'll be posting further details on instagram
. We'll have a number of exclusive deals, competitions and freebies.
It's our first time at the Classic Land Rover Show, but it's been around for a number of years. Situated next door to the Jaguar Land Rover base housing engineering centres for both brands, and of course the Land Rover global headquarters. You can find out more about the show here
So join us this weekend - May 12th-13th at the Gaydon Land Rover Show, 10am til 5pm on the Saturday, and 10am through to 4pm on the Sunday. Prices vary if bought in advance, but on the day ticketing is as follows: Adults: £14, Children £9, Concessions £12, and Camping is available too. Under 5's are free.
The team this week will be Mark, Dan, Andy, Mike and Martin. See you there!
We're back on the road next weekend after a month off. Come and join us at Newbury Showgound, Berkshire. Just off the M4 J13 at Chieveley (Chieveley's the best, it's insane), follow the signposts for the Showground. If you're using sat nav, the postcode you need is RG18 9QZ.
This weekend we'll have a number of special show exclusives, competitions and freebies. Come find us in the new-build indoor area, not far from the main entrance, on your right as you enter the venue.
The Newbury 4x4 & Vintage Spares Day is another excellent event from Mark Woodward - who we've supported previously in Newbury, Malvern and Peterborough. The Newbury show is a long-established international event and the largest Land Rover autojumble in Europe! We'll be alongside 800 other traders, offering brand new parts as an alternative to the vintage spares and autojumble stalls outside.
The show is open to the public from 10am til 2pm and entry is just £6.50 per adult, kids are free, as is parking - and dogs are welcome too! Get down to Newbury Showground this Sunday - 8th April 2018 for the usual getoffroad.com bargains, and some brand new lines exclusive to GOR, exclusive to this show!
As usual, we'll be covering the event on instagram
, and we don't just stick to our own stand - we'll post anything Land Rover, and anything we find interesting! If you're a stallholder or even a competitor - come and say hello! The team this week will be Mark, Dan and Andy. See you there!
It didn't seem that long ago that we closed up 2017's show calendar at Stoneleigh. Now we're already 2 shows into 2018, and preparing for Stafford in a few weeks time.
We had a decent weekend down at Peterborough 4x4 spares weekend. The show is brand new on the calendar and had a decent turnout
Just a quick note on our plans for the rest of the year - we've had to drop Ripon in March unfortunately. Due to a number of logistical issues we're unable to attend, but hopefully will be there in the Autumn.
We'll post more information on Stafford soon, but here's the location details: 25th February 2018 at the Staffordshire County Showground ,Stafford.
The showground is situated on the A518 Stafford to Uttoxeter Road about 4 miles from Stafford. Drivers from either the north or the south using the M6 motorway should exit at junction 14 and follow the signs to the county showground.
